Who it is for
A study planner that makes revision count
Students use Cutline to put study sessions in the week as time blocks around classes and training, tick them off when done, and earn XP for every finished hour. During exams, a fixed daily study rhythm and practice tests on set days do most of the work.
Why students struggle to plan
Classes have a timetable; studying does not. Without a time, revision gets pushed to "later", and later becomes the week before the exam.
A study week that works
- Classes first: put your timetable in as fixed blocks.
- Study blocks: 2 to 3 hours a day, split into 50-minute sessions with breaks, at the same time every day.
- Practice tests: two or three a week in exam season, under exam conditions.
- Review: 30 to 60 minutes every evening to go over what you studied.
- Training and sleep: blocks too. Tired students forget more.
The Exam Week template lays this out hour by hour. If you train seriously, see Athlete + Student.
Make studying feel like progress
Every finished study block earns XP, and every day where you finish everything is stamped Cleared. Study with friends on the Arena: a weekly board of finished hours that resets every Monday.

Questions
How many hours should I study per day?
For most students 2 to 4 focused hours a day works better than long unfocused days. Short breaks between 50-minute sessions help.
